Things to consider when booking food trucks

Fair Distribution of Business at Events

Each food truck specializes in certain foods, some in the same menu items. When booking food trucks for your event, please consider having Food Trucks with different menu items. This offers a variety for your guest. This will also ensure that food trucks do not have to compete during an event because they have the same menu items

Don't Over Book

The biggest challenge for Food trucks is signing up for events that have booked too many Food Trucks. We understand you want variety, but too many trucks can cause a problem. For example, booking three food trucks for an event for 100 ppl would not be good for business. If one truck has 50 customers, the other two won't have many sales.

Be Honest

Food Truck Fees

When booking a food truck, please be honest about how many food trucks you plan to have and how many people you plan to feed and or show up to an event. Many times, people will mislead a food truck about this information, because they want them to show up. Please be honest about your plans so that the food truck can plan accordingly.

Food Truck Fees

Food trucks will charge a fee to book with them and or to hold a date; in order to secure the business. Many times, food trucks will hold dates for events that are booked in advance, and they are cancelled at the last minute. This causes an inconvenience, because food and supplies may have been purchased, and other events have been turned down for this date during that time.

If you have designated someone to book food trucks for your company and or event, please encourage them to communicate clearly the expectations and information regarding the needs for the event, and care about the time and services being offered by the food truck. It takes a lot of planning and time to mobilize food, supplies & services, so the more information given, the better for both sides.

Food trucks are mobile business/ restaurants. They have inspections regularly and have strict regulations as any of the brick & mortar restaurants. Please respect the hard work and efforts that go into the travel, planning and preparation that goes into servicing your event.
